Carla Manco
Carla Manco was born in Italy, but as a young girl she moved to Germany, where she studied graphic design in Munich. Her career started early and quickly accelerated, as she became an illustrator and art director for major fashion magazines such as Modus Special, Vogue, and Saz. Carla Manco has created illustrations for many news and cinema periodicals, and produces many film posters for European cinema. Rosenthal Porcelain commissioned her as decorative designer for their products, distributed worldwide. Equally at home in larger mediums, Carla produced large paintings on canvas as an interior design component for Palazzo Bernheimer of Deutsche Bank. She produced a large mirror work for the Kafer Gallerie of Dusseldorf. For Porsche Centrum of Munich, she executed an interior design painting of 20 by 4 meters.
Working on an astonishing array of materials including plexiglass, metals, canvas, mirrors, sculptures, and clothing, Carla Manco is well known in Germany. She has held exhibitions in Hamburg, Berlin, and Munich, as well as prestigious showings in London and Rome. Carla Manco lives and works in Munich.
